Advanced Practice Registered Nurses / Physician Assistants
The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Johns Hopkins University is seeking a Nurse Practitioner for an inpatient role at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. The primary role of the Advanced Practice Practitioner will be to institute, in collaboration with the attending physicians, a standardized Women’s Health consult service. This service will respond to the departmental and institutional needs, while enriching the education needs of the residents and students.
The practitioner will also participate in the care of hospitalized gynecology and postpartum patients and will also act as liaison between physicians and inpatient nurses. Will educate patients and their families about the treatment plan and medical condition. Will oversee follow-up of outstanding labs/studies of patients coming through the consult or inpatient service. These inpatient duties are expected to occupy approximately 80% time. The practitioner will also devote approximately 20% of time to independent outpatient practice. We are seeking a provider with experience performing comprehensive pelvic exams and ability to manage common Gynecology and Obstetrics problems. Spanish language skills a plus.

Master's degree in nursing; Registered Nurse license and Certified as a Nurse Practitioner. Must be licensed as NP in State of Maryland or other state where practicing. Advance Practice Experience in Women’s Health, current certification in specialty, Maryland licensure, DEA/CDS. Current CPR certification required. Must maintain current licensure and certification during duration of employment. Completion of the JHMI credentialing process is required prior to start date.
