This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of appointment. Approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. These Psychiatrist - Mental Health Prescriber positions are located in Mental Health at the Manchester VA Medical Center or Somersworth NH Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) location. This position is a full-time at 40 hours per week. The VA Medical Center in Manchester, NH is seeking an experienced psychiatrist for the Manchester, NH - Mental Health Clinic and Somersworth, NH - Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC). Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluation and treatment, consultation with multidisciplinary teams, initiation of mental health and substance abuse treatment as well as development of treatment plans in a variety of settings. Must be available for back-up consultation for Mental Health on-call providers. Primary site of assignment of duties within the Mental Health outpatient clinic. Positions have a key role in a multi-disciplinary team with seasoned and dedicated MH clinicians within specialty Mental Health Clinics. In addition the applicant selected for this position will provide back up to Urgent Care and Mental Health clinics for mental health related walk in traffic. The ideal candidate for this position will possess (or be willing to obtain) Buprenorphine Waiver.
