Salary range is $145,000 to $304,750. This is a Virtual Position. NOTE: Applicant's education and length of practice (experience) will be considered by a Compensation Panel in determining the salary of the applicant selected. Exceptions to the salary cap must be approved. Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week Financial Disclosure Report: Not Required Recruitment/Relocation Incentives: May be authorized Appraised Value Offer (AVO): Not Authorized Relocation Expenses: Not Authorized The Chief Officer (CO), Specialty Care Services serves as a senior and principal advisor to the Assistant Under Secretary for Health for Clinical Services (AUSH/CS) and Deputy Under Secretary for Health (DUSH) on all matters and issues related to delivery of services, assessment of services, and outcome analysis of key specialty care areas. The CO provides national leadership and has advisory and consultative responsibility for all Veteran Health Administrative (VHA) specialty care services, programs and initiatives, VA Central Office (VACO) field-based program directors for all the above-mentioned programs, as well as all medical Field Advisory Committees. As a senior principal advisor, the CO advises VHA leadership on national programs and policies related to the number of specialty care components designed to ensure the best overall preventive, clinical, spiritual, and nutritional care are made available to the Veteran population. The CO has direct oversight for a number of VHA programs that fall under the purview of health care services to include the Cardiac Surveillance Program, Neurology Centers of Excellence and Vision Center of Excellence on matters and issues related to all policies and procedures.
