The Hematology/Oncology Staff Physician provides clinical skills for the Medicine Service to ensure achievement of clinical goals and applicable performance measures. The physician is accountable for the professional delivery and thorough documentation of treatment to adult patients in inpatient settings and outpatient clinics as well as comprehensive examinations and histories to patients assigned to him/her in the Hematology/Clinic during the COVID-19 Pandemic in temporary role NTE-120 days. General duties include, but are not limited to: The physician is responsible for providing consultation in Hematology-Oncology, both for diagnosis and treatment in the inpatient or outpatient settings. The physician is expected to share attending call responsibilities with other Hematology-Oncology specialists in covering some nights, weekend and holiday calls. The physician will round with the team of fellow(s) and medical student(s) in regards to inpatient settings. Clinical oversight is provided by the collaborating physician, section chief of Hematology-Oncology and the Chief of Medicine. The physician, as a member of the department, communicates with other healthcare providers to manage consultations and additional services, as required. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday - Administrative hours and work schedule based on clinical need Financial Disclosure Report: Required Open continuous Announcement: Eligible Applicants will be sent for review on a bi-weekly basis and the announcement will be closed when two selections have been made by hiring official.
