This position is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), a student loan payment reimbursement program. The Birmingham VA is currently recruiting for a Pulmonary Disease Physician to work part time, 10 hours per week. The physician serves as a specialty care physician in the Pulmonary Service at the Birmingham VAMC. Provides a full range of clinical services to a complex patient population consisting of patients with complex diseases referred throughout the state of Alabama. Provides acute care management and follow-up in the clinic and attends in the MICU, taking care of critically ill patients. Must have experience with interventional pulmonary procedures including endobronchial ultrasound, navigational bronchoscopy, rigid bronchoscopy, management of complex pleural diseases. Must be able to gain academic appointment at the affiliate.
