Assistant/Associate/Full Level Professor of Surgery – Craniofacial Surgeon Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Department of Surgery University of California, San Francisco
The Department of Surgery, Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking a full time academic craniofacial surgeon. Candidates must be board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery. Craniofacial fellowship training and experience are a prerequisite for this position. Candidates at the Assistant, Associate and Full Professor levels are welcome, and the appointment will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience.
Primary clinical responsibilities will include comprehensive pediatric craniofacial care at both Benioff Children's Hospital campuses, in Oakland and San Francisco. There is a particular need for orthognathic surgery as well as other cleft and craniofacial procedures. Additional responsibilities include adult craniofacial trauma and comprehensive craniofacial reconstruction at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital and at UCSF Medical Center, including facial gender affirming surgery.
Research productivity is expected and protected time for research will be considered. The candidate should have a proven track record in clinical discovery with publications in this clinical area.
Candidates must have recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students and will be expected to be active participants in the Department's residency training and educational programs.
